Definition
Customer Identity and Access Management — specialized IAM for managing customer (not employee) identities. Differs from workforce IAM: self-registration, scaling to millions of users, social login (BYOI), consent management, marketing integration, frictionless UX. Foundation for digital business — login is the front door.
