Account Management
Definition
Account management is the set of administrative and technical processes used to create, modify, disable, and delete user or system accounts throughout their lifecycle. It typically includes enforcing policies for account provisioning, authentication data (such as passwords or credentials), and periodic review or removal to maintain security and least privilege. In IAM/IGA, account management links digital identities to concrete accounts on target systems and ensures those accounts remain consistent with organizational policies and role assignments.
