Attribute Attr
Definition
In identity and access management, an **attribute** is a characteristic or property of an entity (such as an account, profile, device, or resource) that can be used to describe it or make security and business decisions about it.[1] In midPoint and similar IGA systems, attributes are typically data fields of accounts and identity profiles (for example, username, email, department, entitlements) that are read, mapped, and synchronized across connected systems. Attributes are the primary building blocks for expressing provisioning rules, policies, and access control conditions (including ABAC-style policies).
