Definition
In Evolveum midPoint, a **focus** is a core identity object that can have assignments and holds capabilities or entitlements propagated to linked projections (such as accounts or other shadow objects). It acts as the central “hub” in the midPoint star model, with projections representing external system objects connected to it. Typical focus types include users, roles, organizations, and services, all represented by the FocusType abstraction in the midPoint data model.
