Definition
In midPoint, a **Critical Resource (CR)** is a managed resource (such as an application, system, or connected data source) that is explicitly marked as critical due to its high importance for business operations, security, or compliance. This designation is typically used to drive stricter governance, approval, monitoring, or access control policies for accounts, entitlements, and changes related to that resource. The criticality marking is metadata maintained in midPoint’s resource configuration rather than a general IAM standard term.
